Malinda Oliver isn't just heading to work each day; she's going to her second home. With sincerity, reliability, and care, she's become a cornerstone at Robert of Philadelphia, where she ensures each guest feels like the most important person in the room.

HospitalityHow they care for you

Great hospitality to me means being real and unscripted. It's about making people feel welcomed, cared about, and genuinely interested in.

Knowing their name as they walk in, remembering something from their last visit, and ensuring their comfort makes every guest feel special.

CommunicationHow they connect

With guests and coworkers, I listen carefully, responding in a respectful, friendly, and calm tone.

PersonalityMeet Malinda

I try to be everything the moment calls for — an energizer, a calm presence, a problem solver.

Why ROPMalinda's favorite part of ROP

I never feel like I'm heading to "work," more like my other home.

CultureA story from the salon

From Robert's initial dream to a thriving family business, ROP has a strong family culture, experiencing life's ups and downs together.

Behind the scenesTheir role in the day

I keep the salon presentable, from cleaning and checking amenities to ensuring everything's set for the day.

AboutMore about Malinda

I began my journey in the restaurant business, which led me to get my nail tech license and join ROP through a friend's encouragement. I trained at our original location on 3rd Street 40 years ago and started at our Ritz Carlton location. Shortly after the Village Salon opened, I moved there and have been there ever since. Over the years, I would jump behind the front desk to learn that aspect of the business, transitioning into more of a concierge role than a nail tech.

Off the clockOutside the salon

Outside of work, I find happiness spending time with my kids and grandson. I enjoy watching old movies, documentaries, and anything Elvis!!!
