AboutBehind the chair

Hair was always in Yelicza’s heart, even while she pursued other paths as her parents wished. She began taking courses in hair and nails in Venezuela and honed her skills during free time, doing friends’ hair. It wasn't until her daughter was old enough for full-time school that Yelicza seized the opportunity to attend beauty school, turning her dream into reality. Inspired by mentors Robyn and Lisa, who shared their knowledge openly, Yelicza was guided into the world of color and cutting with enthusiasm and support. Their influence became a cornerstone in her journey to becoming the dedicated stylist she is today.

Off the clockOutside the salon

Outside the salon, Yelicza’s life centers around her faith and family. Married for 21 years, she enjoys time with her two teenagers, engaging in activities like reading, walking, and cooking. Her home is filled with love and laughter, shared with family and friends, and topped off with relaxing vacations together.

It is important to me to understand what are their needs, lifestyle, goals, how much time they want to spend doing their hair, how often they wanna come to the salon, I love when they bring pictures of what they like and I also need to know what they don’t like. I also analyze the texture, density, porosity and the condition of the hair,

It is important that they use the right products so we can together maintain the help of the hair and I also like to explain to them why it is important to you the right shampoo or conditioner or products according to their hair needs.

First-time guestsFor a first appointment, Yelicza recommends guests bring pictures of styles they admire or even ones they dislike, and come prepared for an open, relaxed conversation. She encourages guests to take a deep breath, ready to unwind and collaborate on their new look.
