Lori Green
Master Stylist
Lori Green has been behind the chair since 1994 and at Robert of Philadelphia since 2000, which means she’s lived through every version of the industry — trends, techniques, and all. What still drives her is helping guests see what’s possible for them, not turning them into someone else. She’s known for haircutting and natural-looking color that feels effortless, wearable, and realistic for everyday life. Lori approaches every appointment by first getting to know the person sitting in her chair — their goals, frustrations, likes, and dislikes about their hair. Guests describe her as passionate, patient, and sweet, and her chair tends to attract the same kind of energy: friendly, down-to-earth people who want honest guidance and hair that actually works for their life.
The experienceWhy guests choose Lori
I focus on haircutting and natural-looking color that feels effortless and believable. My approach is calm, honest, and realistic, and I think guests appreciate that I meet them where they are while also helping them see what’s possible for their hair.
If a guest leaves my chair feeling happy and confident, I’ve done my job. That sounds simple, but it means paying attention to the entire experience, not just one service. I want people to feel comfortable being themselves in my chair. I’m naturally patient, and I think guests feel that. I love working with friendly, realistic, down-to-earth people because those appointments feel collaborative instead of stressful.
The matchIdeal guest
My favorite guests are friendly, realistic, and down to earth. I love working with people who are open to conversation, honest about their lifestyle, and interested in hair that feels like an elevated version of themselves instead of chasing something impossible.

AboutBehind the chair
Hair was always the plan for me. In middle school, I had the opportunity to enter a vocational cosmetology program during high school, and I knew early on that this was what I wanted to do. I graduated from vocational school in Pennsylvania in 1994 and started building my career immediately. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot from the stylists I’ve met along the way and continued my education through hair shows, Robert of Philadelphia training, and Wella education offered through the salon.
Off the clockOutside the salon
Outside the salon, my life is centered around family. I have a husband and two daughters, and I love spending time together whenever I can. I’m happiest outside — especially at the beach — and I’ve always loved animals.
The consultationWhat to expect
When a new guest sits in my chair, the first thing I’m thinking about is getting to know them. I want to understand their goals, what they like and dislike about their hair, what’s realistic for their lifestyle, and what they’re hoping to feel when they leave. Pictures help a lot because they quickly show me what someone is drawn to visually, even if they don’t know the technical words for it. I prefer consultations in person because there’s so much you pick up face-to-face — hair texture, density, personality, communication style, all of it. I believe honest conversations are part of good hairdressing. If someone wants something their hair isn’t healthy enough for yet, I’ll tell them directly, but we’ll also make a plan together for how to get there over time.
To me, healthy hair is pretty straightforward: it feels good and it looks good. I’m not interested in overcomplicating it or chasing trends that damage someone’s hair long term. I’d rather help guests build hair that works for them consistently. That also means being honest when something isn’t the right move.
First-time guestsBring pictures. Inspiration photos help me quickly understand what you’re drawn to and what kind of result feels right to you. I also encourage guests to come in open and ready for an honest conversation about their hair goals, lifestyle, and maintenance.
