AboutBehind the chair

I've been in the same house out in Golden Gate Estates since 1997; I grew up in Naples, left for a little bit, and came back about 10 years ago to help care for my parents. I have a BA in Environmental Science with a minor in Business Administration, but decided to switch careers and focus on building a life that makes me happier. Playing with hair makes me happy! When I was little, all 3 of my aunts were hairstylists and as a young adult, I've worn about every hair color under the sun, including a rainbow.

Off the clockOutside the salon

I love being outside, I am not afraid to get dirty, and I'd rather be in the swamp than at the beach most of the time. I recently rescued a pitbull named Remington (Remi) and am what some might call a "crazy dog lady." In the evenings, you can find me out at dinner with some of my coworkers... we're big foodies and love to chat about our day after work.

The consultationWhat to expect

I ask them what they would like to do to their hair and try to specify if its something new or just a refresh. I ask for inspo pics if theyre getting something new. I ask them how they style their hair every day and what they like and dont like. Sometimes I will ask about what products they use regularly, what they like about them, and how often they wash their hair.

I like to use all of our products, specifically how they're intended. I like to educate myself on which products are best for different hair types so that my clients don't use things that are too heavy or not appropriate for their hair type. I believe in a good heat protectant, but know not all are created equally.

I love the Brilliance blowdry accelerator and flat iron protection spray. It is a lightweight oil spray that offers high heat protection and speeds up blowdry time. I use it on almost all of my clients, as I believe that heat protectants are essential to any style. My other favorite product is the genius leave-in detangling spray. It has a lot of lightweight oils and cbd to help detangle the hair while providing heat protection against the Florida sun as well as any styling hot tools. My favorite shampoo is the volume and shine. It uses apple cider vinegar to gently clarify the hair without stripping out color.
