You don't need a following. You don't need years behind the chair. You don't even need to be finished with school yet. We're looking for heart and a real willingness to learn.
This isn't an assistant job. In our Masters of Hair Associate Program, you work beside our Senior and Master stylists every day. You'll greet guests, sit in on consultations, help formulate color, and give the kind of shampoo, with a head, neck and shoulder massage, that people remember. You'll do blowouts, help get the salon ready, and soak up everything you can. Along the way you'll get to know the guests who will one day become your own.
How it works
- One-on-one training with our stylists every day, plus paid education for the whole team every Monday from 10 to 2.
- Your first big milestone is 50 certified blowouts. Most associates get there in a few months. Then your book opens on Experience Day, when you take paid guests while a Master Stylist coaches you.
- From there your book keeps growing as you certify in each service category, one at a time, at your own pace, typically about two years to Silver.
- We look at your skills and also at your kindness, generosity, humility and work ethic. There's no one right way to be. Just be yourself.
Who we are
Robert of Philadelphia was founded in November 1980, and we're now in our 46th year in Naples. We're still family owned, with two salons in Naples and one in Bonita Springs, and a team of more than 50. We're a teaching salon, not a commission salon. Nobody competes for guests here. We refer to each other freely, because when the guest wins, everyone wins. We kept every team member on full pay through the pandemic, and we've never had a layoff.

- Full time, at Bayfront Naples, Village on Venetian Bay or Promenade Bonita Springs
- Paid while you learn, as a W2 employee (never 1099)
