ROP Stylist levels ❤️ WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

FAQs

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and gift cards, as well Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can I leave a tip for the stylist on the credit card?

No, unfortunately not. Unlike restaurants, salons are required to pay taxes on the tips added to credit card payments, which would add up quickly and cost our business a lot of money per year. So instead we encourage our guests to either bring cash or utilize the ATM we have on site– (there is a $2 fee that goes to the ATM company, not to us). In addition, many of our stylists also accept tips by check and/ or payments through cash apps like Venmo and Zelle. Please please do not hesitate to leave a tip in whichever method you choose. Our stylists absolutely deserve it!

What's the difference between a half head and full head of highlights?

No, a half head of highlights does not mean that we only highlight one side of your head. It means that your stylist will only highlight the top and sides of your hair and that the back and underneath sections will be untouched. Whereas a full head means you'll have highlights throughout your entire hair- the top, the sides, and the back! If this is your first time getting highlights or it's been a long time since your last appointment, we generally recommend booking a full head instead of a half. Remember, when in doubt, give us a call or book a consultation!

What are the levels of your stylists?

All of our stylists are intensively trained and highly experienced. In addition to cosmetology school, all ROP stylists are required to complete 2000 to 3000 hours of hands-on experience in our salons. Some of our artists specialize in different techniques, such as coloring, cutting, styling, and extensions. Each and every member of our team has advanced expertise in their field.

Why do I need to provide my credit card information to book an appointment?

We’re glad you asked! While most of our guests are respectful of our time, unfortunately it’s still possible for things to go amiss. Sometimes a guest simply forgets the appointment or does not realize the impact that missing an appointment has on our staff, company, and other guests. At ROP we are deeply fortunate to serve many guests, some of whom wait several weeks for an appointment. We kindly ask for your up-to-date credit card information to ensure your scheduled booking and to protect the valuable time of our team. For more information, please refer to our cancellation policy. *Credit Card Security – Credit Card Storage, Reservations and Merchant Processing: Our booking system is proud to be Level 1 PCI compliant–the highest form of credit card security in the industry–which means that we encrypt all customer credit card data stored in our system.

What happens if I don’t love my hair?

Oh no! We’re not happy if you’re not happy. And we totally understand that sometimes small adjustments here and there may be needed to reach your hair goal. That’s why we’re always here to go above and beyond for your new look! So if you’re not fully loving your hair, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We kindly ask that you contact us within 2 weeks of your original service so that we can do everything we can to have you feeling and looking like your very best self. As a small business, we want to hear from you, so please let us know! We genuinely want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to make things right.

What is your cancellation policy?

We totally understand that life sometimes gets in the way and schedules need to be rearranged! But we kindly ask that any changes and cancellations are made 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you cancel or modify your appointment with less than 24 hours notice it is considered a “Late Cancellation.” Late cancellations will be subject to a 50% fee of the total cost for your scheduled service. All guests who late cancel or do not show up for their scheduled appointment, may be required to leave a 50% deposit for future services. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or reschedule within the requested 24-hour time frame. Appointment confirmation messages are sent 2 days in advance of appointments by both SMS and email to the contact information given at time of booking. Failing to respond to those messages or not confirming your appointment does not count as canceling your appointment. To avoid a cancellation fee, you must cancel your appointment more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. We understand that your time is precious, so please understand that so is ours!

What type of products do you use?

As artists and industry innovators, our tools are everything. From our color lines, to our treatments, to our stylings products, ROP has customized high quality products for everyone. In addition to using our own products, we always keep our eyes peeled for the coolest and most innovative products that truly work. So, no matter what, you can trust our team of professionals to find the right products for you and your one-of-a-kind hair needs.

What’s the difference between a dual technique and a specialty color?

When it comes to the most recent trends in hair colors, they typically fall within one of two categories: a dual technique or a specialty color. Where highlights will only focus on one technique, a dual technique will create dimension by using, you guessed it, 2 techniques! Dual technique will create a variation of boldness in the lightened areas. Now, when it comes to a speciality color, you’re in for a transformation, an all-day sort of color, and a big change. Specialty colors use more than 2 techniques, and go above and beyond any typical color service. Remember, when in doubt, give us a call or book a consultation!

Who answers my phone calls?

Have you ever noticed while you are getting your hair done at ROP there is something missing from the average salon experience? The unpleasant sound of a ringing phone! In an effort to keep our spaces creative, fun filled, and upbeat, we have a dedicated team who answer phones away from the salon. From calls, to texts, to emails and beyond, this wonderful team is available to answer any questions you may have without salon disruptions. This also allows our stylists in the salon to focus only on you and your hair journey!

Why does my appointment require so much time?

When it comes to your hair, we want to do our absolute best! Our intensively trained stylists never rush and thus, never compromise the integrity of your hair. Although we tend to think of our team as hair magicians, their magic cannot be done with a wave of a wand. Creating modern high-quality styles can take multiple hours and/or multiple sessions. The timing we set for your appointment reflects the amount of time that your stylist will need in order to achieve your desired look. Our most sought after color services typically take anywhere from 2.5-5 hours and can vary depending on your hair length, density, and overall goals. However, the time and care that we take with your hair will be worth it for stunning results! If you're concerned about timing or would like to learn more, don't hesitate to contact our team or book a consultation.
